Yesterday I got to run with you in your first 5k. You were amazing. I am so proud of you - not for the most obvious reason...you completed the race as you were hoping...Running the whole way!
I am proud of you because I witnessed your strength...your grit....your determination. I saw you dig down and find the strength to go on when your body did not want to. I saw you defy your legs, your lungs and your right side by telling them who was boss. I loved it. I love you!
I hope this will be the first of many times we can run together!
Live-In #1: Finished in top 50% of her age group. 151 of 306! Congratulations!!
