Confession: I am Cheating on Cab...

It all began innocently enough, My Lover and I were out and about wine tasting when we stumbled upon what I would now refer to as one of my favorite wine rooms to go to.  Every wine at this place was amazing! (and I don't say that lightly) At this wine room I tried a Petite Sirah that made my heart go pitter pat...

Since this day, the winery has sold out of this Sin in a Bottle so My Lover and I have been forced to try other Petite Sirah's and the results have been a blissful love affair.

Believe it or not, Trader Joes has their label on some excellent wines...no I am not talking about the 'Three Buck Chuck' but rather a private Trader Joes label.  Their Petite Sirah is very good at $9.99.  However, we also found this excellent bottle for $12.99:

2007 Stonehedge Reserve Petite Sirah

My only complaint is they don't give a flowery description on the back label...so you will have to suffer with my description alone:

One sip of this sinful jezabel will have you begging for another.

Since we don't have a Trader Joes in my town, I also found this one at my local grocery store for $16.99:

2007 Rosenbaum Petite Sirah
Heritage Clones
It's Description: Bold flavors of blackberry and chocolate mingle with exotic notes of currant anise, coffee and creamy orange zest.

My Description:
This temptress is bold, sexy and doesn't let you forget it.

  2. I love the unique diction that permeates from your blog; I enjoyed reading it. I'll be sure to make a note of your wine suggestions :) Have you thought of making a rendition of Julia & Julia, naming it Carol & Carol, through which you cook with a menagerie of different wines, while simultaneously discovering your true self?

  3. your too funny Trey...problem with that idea is they say you should cook with wine you would drink...I would never cook with what wine I drink - it would be way to expensive for me.
